Donna Brazile and Sarah Palin to Speak at Northwest Florida State College

NICEVILLE, FL– Donna Brazile and Sarah Palin will speak at the first event in the inaugural President’s Speaker Series at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on Friday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m.
In their talk titled Bridging the Political Divide, political trailblazers Brazile and Palin will examine our increasingly polarized country and the future of the Republican and Democratic parties.
“We are thrilled to bring two of the most prominent women in American politics to campus to share their expertise with our community,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President of Northwest Florida State College. “This is the perfect event to kick off the College’s new President’s Speaker Series, an initiative that we have implemented this year to bring renowned speakers to our region that will share their insight with our community.”
Veteran political strategist Donna Brazile led the Democratic National Committee at a critical juncture in the 2016 campaign. Brazile has worked on every major presidential campaign since 1976 and in 2000, and became the first African American woman to serve as the manager of a major party presidential campaign, running the campaign of former Vice President Al Gore.
Sarah Palin, best known for her rise from first female and youngest Governor of Alaska to first woman on the GOP presidential ticket, became a conservative icon and Republican kingmaker. Palin was also recognized as one of TIME’s “100 Most Influential People” and Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women.”
Bridging the Political Divide begins at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Limited seating is available.
The event is free with a cash donation or a donation of nonperishable food items supporting NWF State Student Government Association’s Feed-A-Raider program.

Along with Sarah Palin and Donna Brazile, this year’s President’s Speaker Series line-up includes Super Soaker inventor and NASA engineer Lonnie Johnson on January 18, 2019, and money experts Rachel Cruze and Chris Hogan on April 4, 2019. All Speaker Series events are free and open to the public.
