Northwest Florida State College Reduces Energy Use by 55% and Extends Energy Conservation Partnership with Cenergistic
June 20, 2019
(DALLAS, June 20, 2019) — Cenergistic’s partnership with Northwest Florida State College (NWF State College) continues, following the College’s renewal of the Energy Conservation Program. Since the program’s inception in February 2014, $4.8 million in expected utility expenses were recaptured and energy consumption reduced by 55 percent.
Through the partnership with Cenergistic, NWF State College made significant gains in environmental stewardship initiatives. Greenhouse gas emissions were reduced, equivalent to energy used by average vehicles driving 66 million miles.
“Employees working closely with energy specialists have created an enormous amount of utility savings, which enables us to prioritize dollars on what matters most in higher education – student success,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, NWF State College president. “Faculty, staff and students enjoy a comfortable environment to help them reach their full potential, and the conservation program instills a culture of sustainability within the college, saving millions for educational programing.”
