NWF State College Students Medal at 2019 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference

NICEVILLE, FL – Multiple Northwest Florida State College students received medals in individual and team competitions at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on June 26. Samuel McClead of Fort Walton Beach and Rachel Williams of Crestview earned bronze in the audio/radio production competition. Lena Webb of Niceville earned silver in early childhood education competition.

SkillsUSA is an educational partnership that provides students, teachers and other professionals with the tools needed to excel in the workforce. Each year, SkillsUSA puts on several competitions at the local, regional, state and national levels to test the skillset of students who are preparing to begin their careers.

“SkillUSA is a career-changing organization that promotes high-demand and high-wage jobs as well as motivates learners to excel in their demonstration of job and employability skills,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of NWF State College. “We are extremely proud of our outstanding students and sponsors who are committed to making a difference.”
