Program Details

The course work at Northwest Florida State is designed to give you the skills needed to gain employment in the rapidly growing construction field as well as understand the residential building standards in Florida as per the Southern Building Code. Upon completion of this program, you will earn a certificate from Northwest Florida State College as well as be credited for two years field experience toward State of Florida’s Contractor’s license. You will have the opportunity to earn your OSHA 10 safety card and nationally recognized industry certificates from HBI (Home Builders Institute). As you progress through the program you will discover what talents you have and what you would like to focus your career towards, we can focus on that discipline of study and build your skills and passion to achieve that goal. Northwest Florida State College Building Construction Specialist staff work closely with local industry partners and contractors to assist you in finding the right job for you with a highly successful job placement program.
