Career and Technical Certificate
The Dental Assisting program at Northwest Florida State College is a 1 year, 3-semester vocational program leading to a Career and Technical Certificate in Dental Assisting. The program provides you with the skills, knowledge and clinical experiences necessary to become proficient in the field of Dental Assisting. The curriculum includes content in dental sciences, dental anatomy, dental materials, communications, preclinical dental theory, expanded functions, dental nutrition, dental community health and dental radiography. They will also be ready and eligible to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and will receive certification as a Dental Radiographer and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in the State of Florida.
Radiology Clinic for Community Patients
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our Radiology Clinic for Community Patients will not be open to the public for the 2020 academic school year. We have high hopes that this service will be available for the 2021 summer semester.
Community patient services in the dental radiologic clinic will be available Summer 2020. If you are in need of dental X-rays, please contact Mrs. Kristeen Walley, Dental Director, at (850) 678-5111 ext. 6630, who will be glad to provide references to another practice or clinic.
