Associate in Science

The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Nursing degree program prepares you to become a highly skilled health care professional. This program is for you if you enjoy working with and caring for people. You will learn to provide care for clients of various ages and circumstances in any setting that requires nursing services. You will learn to assess health needs of individuals, groups and communities, actively promote healthy practices, and treat humans in response to injury or disease. Whether at the bedside or in the community, career opportunities for nurses are numerous and rewarding. Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the national licensure exam to become a registered nurse (RN).

The A.S. in Nursing is a campus based program with real life clinical experiences provided in local healthcare facilities throughout the program. The state-of-the-art Simulation Center combines technology with education to help students build skills and confidence.

This program is a selective admissions program. You must apply and be accepted to the program. Students are admitted twice a year (fall and spring). Advanced placement in the program is available to LPNs.
