Program Details
The Phlebotomy certificate program prepares students to become Certified Phlebotomists. Students will gain expertise in venipuncture techniques, blood collection procedures, specimen handling, and patient interaction. By completing the certificate program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification exam.
The Phlebotomy program program is 165 clock hours, 8-weeks long, and includes a clinical internship through a local healthcare facility. The 8-week long program is hybrid, combining online learning and in-person training. This program offers extensive hands-on experience and preparation of real-world scenarios. Each class has a maximum of 12 students, admitted on a first come, first serve basis.
Students will be required to undergo a level 1 background check, a drug screen, and provide immunization records for clearance at the local healthcare facilities. To be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association Phlebotomy Technician certification exam, students must be at least 18 years old and provide a copy of their high school transcripts or equivalent documentation.
