Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition

Dr. Heather Hartness

My name is Dr. Heather Hartness, and I am an Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition at NWFSC.  I have been teaching English, Reading & Writing, Literature, and Humanities for the past nine years.  Prior to that, I worked in banking and real estate for fifteen years.

Some of my favorite teaching strategies involve technology like Perusall, Padlet, or Adobe Creative Cloud. I also like to have my English Composition II students create an annotated edition of one creative work each semester. Everyone, including me, works on this together as a group. This semester, we will be working on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

Dr. Hartness’ Favorite Technology Tools

  • Perusall
