Assistant Professor of Humanities

Anne Borella

Professor Borella has been a part of the academic community at Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) for nearly six years, initially serving as an adjunct instructor before transitioning to a full-time faculty role. A proud alumna of NWFSC, where she earned her Associate of Arts degree, Professor Borella was inspired by her own educators to pursue a Master of Liberal Studies from Arizona State University, with the goal of returning to NWFSC to teach.

Passionate about the Humanities, Professor Borella embraces innovative teaching methods and actively incorporates Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) practices into her curriculum. She is dedicated to providing her students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences, often through field trips that explore the rich offerings of her department. These excursions not only enrich students’ understanding of the Humanities but also serve as valuable recruiting tools, exposing them to a variety of courses and scholarship opportunities available at the college. Through her collaborative efforts with fellow professors, Professor Borella fosters a dynamic learning environment that encourages students to explore their academic interests and expand their horizons.
