Dr. Patrice A. Williams-Shuford has been an educator for more than 30 years. She is skilled in teaching, college planning/advising, faculty development, and building educational support systems. Patrice earned her Bachelor of Science in English and Psychology from the University of South Alabama, her Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Mobile, her Specialist in Education in English Education from Florida State University, and her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
At Northwest Florida State College Dr. Williams-Shuford serves as the Director of Instructional Quality and also teaches Composition I & II.
Patrice has spent her career in education as a high school English teacher, a college English professor, a college advisor, a higher education administrator, and a workshop presenter –focusing primarily on the topics of fostering leadership and initiating change.
Patrice is also an entrepreneur and nonprofit volunteer who enjoys being involved with the community and working with youth.
