    Certificates

    Online Instructor Certification (OIC) 

    The Online Instructor Certificate (OIC) is a comprehensive program designed to equip educators with the necessary skills and strategies to excel in the online teaching environment. Participants must complete the OIC before teaching an online course. Through a series of engaging modules and practical activities, participants will learn effective online instructional techniques, best practices for student engagement and interaction, strategies for building a supportive online learning community, and methods for designing and delivering high-quality online courses.

    Hybrid Instructor Certification (HIC) 

    The Hybrid Instructor Certificate (HIC) is a comprehensive program designed to prepare educators for the unique challenges and opportunities of teaching in hybrid learning environments. Participants must complete the Online Instructor Certificate (OIC) before teaching a hybrid course. This certificate equips faculty with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively integrate online and face-to-face instruction, foster student engagement in both modalities, and design hybrid courses that optimize learning outcomes. Participants will explore strategies for balancing synchronous and asynchronous learning activities, leveraging educational technology to enhance instruction, and promoting active learning in hybrid settings.  

    Presenter Certificate 

    The Presenter Certificate is awarded to faculty who make significant contributions to our faculty development events by delivering engaging and informative presentations. These presentations cover a wide range of topics related to teaching and learning, instructional technology, and faculty development. Presenters share their expertise, best practices, and innovative approaches, enriching the professional development experiences of their colleagues. Through their presentations, recipients of the Presenter Certificate demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to enhancing teaching and learning at our institution.
