Northwest Florida State College Logo

NWF State College can assist teachers on a temporary teaching certificate by providing the transferrable courses with required college credits needed to move to a full professional teaching certificate.

While NWF is not a designated Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) provider, courses for meeting certification requirements have been approved by the Florida Department of Education. For individuals wishing to move from a temporary to a professional teaching certificate, the steps for taking courses are outlined below.

How to Enroll

  1. Apply for admission to the College if you are not already a student. Select non-degree seeking student (no transcripts needed).
  2. Scan and email a copy of your Department of Education Official Statement of Status of Eligibility to Dr. Sandy Arteaga at arteagas@nwfsc.edu or fax (850) 729-4952.
