A Friendly & Supportive Academic Environment
Helping Our Students Excel
Northwest Florida State College is committed to student success and offers programs, tutoring and workshops that cultivate an optimal learning experience for all students. Academic support is centralized in the Learning Commons, an inviting and open space designed for academic success with a dedicated and helpful staff. Tutoring sessions are provided in individual or small group formats for courses in Math, Science, Business, Reading, Writing and Language. Assistance with study and organizational skills are also available. Tutoring is free to all currently enrolled NWFSC students.
Make an Appointment
Tutoring sessions are offered in-person or remotely using Zoom (currently we are holding sessions remotely to stay safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19). Zoom tutoring provides the flexibility to support students regardless of their location. Appointments are preferred, but walk-in support is also available based on subject area and tutor availability. To schedule an appointment with a tutor or librarian, register at WCOnline. Students may also select the Submit a Paper Tutoring option to upload a paper or essay for review, and tutors will return the submission within 24-48 hours. Students must give at least 24-hours notice for appointment cancellations. For assistance with using Zoom technology for your tutoring session, please review our step-by-step Zoom video tutorial.
Hours of Operation
All scheduled tutoring sessions and Math Lab drop-in support will continue to be held virtually via Zoom for the safety of all students and staff.
Visit MyWCOnline to check availability, schedule an appointment, or to submit a paper for feedback.
