In addition to applying to the college, prospective students must submit a program application, hold a minimum 2.5 GPA in general education coursework, pass the General Knowledge (GK) section of the Florida Teacher Certification Exam (FTCE), and successfully complete fingerprinting and background checks through both the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
